How it works ?

1.HYPNOSIS (connected mode)

The Hypnos mask is connected to an app that gives you access to self-hypnosis programs, which are hypnotic narratives recorded by a hypnotherapist. These three-dimensional audio tracks have a background soundscape that adds atmosphere to the narrative to enhance your state of self-hypnosis. There are currently over 30 self-hypnosis programs available on the app and they’re all free to use.

Hypnosis is like an altered state of perception that allows you to detach yourself from our environment. More and more healthcare professionals are now using hypnosis in their practice. 

2. NAP (disconnected mode)

Set the length of your nap using the buttons on the front of your mask. Fall asleep by following the breathing guide to get yourself into a state of cardiac coherence. Then wake up gently with a dawn simulator.

The first signs of sleep disorders can appear very early in babies, with nightmares, night terrors or other disturbances. Sleep can also be a problem during the teenage years. In 2018, 88% of French teens and young adults admitted they don’t get much sleep.

Almost 30% of children today suffer from sleep disorders. This is problematic because studies show lack of sleep suppresses the growth hormone, which is normally released while they’re sleeping. Sleep deficit hampers the child’s development and also inhibits the production of other hormones like insulin and the “hunger hormone” ghrelin. 

How much sleep do children need ? 

The amount of sleep needed varies from child to child but on average : 

  • Newborns need around 16 hours of sleep 
  • 3 year-olds need 12 hours 
  • 6 year-olds need 10 hours 
  • 12 year-olds need 9 hours
